Environ Alpha Hydroxy Cream  This is the latest addition to my Environ arsenal and I am very much enjoying it. I wanted to incorporate more exfoliation into my routine, so my facialist, Nina, recommended that I start using the Alpha Hydroxy Cream two/three nights a week. It contains a combination of fruit acids to help promote the skin’s natural exfoliation process, and it’s suitable for problem and sensitive skins (mine) as it decongests without irritation.  I have been using it twice a week for the past three months or so, and I’m really pleased with the results: I do feel like…

Mini Korean Skincare Haul

My family and I recently traveled to Vietnam to visit my baby sister, and on our final day in Hanoi I stumbled upon a TonyMoly store, much to my delight! TonyMoly is a Korean beauty brand which is famed not only for its effective skincare, but also for it’s adorable packaging. Had I been left unattended, I would have done a great deal more damage, but because I had my sweaty and irritable family watching me shop, I had to work fast! Here’s what I bought… TonyMoly Egg Pore Blackhead Steam Balm This mask claims to soften your pores without the use…

Coverderm Complete Care CC Cream for Face The first thing to note about this CC cream is that it doesn’t provide much in the way of coverage, and that’s because it’s more of a treatment product than anything else. Here is what it claims to do: Contains 12 super-powered active ingredients that evens and brightens skin tone, nourishes, moisturises and soothes the skin. It protects against UVA & UVB rays and treats wrinkles, blemishes and irritation and controls sebum, tightens pores and treats facial redness. Oil free, lightweight, suitable for all skin types, and available in 4 natural shades, including…

It’s Finally Here: Urban Decay Launches in SA

Last week I was lucky enough to attend the official Urban Decay launch party in Johannesburg, and I also got a sneak preview of the Sandton City store ahead of it’s 9 June 2016 opening. If you follow us on social media, you will have seen a few pictures of the store itself, it’s any makeup lover’s heaven: rows upon rows of the stuff that our dreams are made of… Don’t those images make your soul happy? Ours too! As you can see, the product line is very comprehensive, they even have all 100 VICE lipsticks and 50 lip liners!…

Currently Loving // New YouTube Discoveries

If your YouTube appetite is as voracious as mine is, then you’ll be familiar with that feeling of disappointment when you’ve ploughed through your ‘Watch Later’ backlog, and you’ve officially run out of videos to watch. But never fear, because I have made some new discoveries over the past few months, and they’re guaranteed to bolster your subscription feed: Allana Davison If you love Estée Lalonde (formerly Essie Button), then I have a feeling you’ll love her fellow Candian Allana, too. Allana lives in Calgary with her boyfriend, Chad (total cutie, btw), and posts regular tutorials, favourites videos and vlogs.…

Pat McGrath Labs Skin Fetish 003: Worth The Splurge?

The hype surrounding the launch of Pat McGrath Labs Skin Fetish 003 was impossible to ignore. I got so sucked into the online frenzy that I ended up spending over R1,600 to get my hands on it. Madness. Utter madness. I ordered the ‘Nude’ version for myself, and the ‘Golden’ version for a friend, and getting it here was challenging to say the least. I placed a Sephora order using an American bank card (they don’t accept Paypal or SA bank cards), and used my Aramex Global Shopper US postbox as the delivery address. However, the transaction got declined because Sephora don’t…

A (Very) Small Tom Ford Beauty Haul

If you follow us on social media, you will have seen that I recently treated myself to some goodies from Tom Ford. They have recently relocated from the V&A Waterfront Edgars concession stand into a brand new standalone store, which is packed to the brim with all sorts of treats. If you ever visited the concession stand, you will remember that they only stocked fragrances, lipsticks and nail polishes. The new store stocks pretty much everything, from what I can see, including my beloved Cream Color for Eyes in ‘Spice’ (R695 – worth every penny). The first time Jules and…

Camilla’s Skincare Routine // The Add-On’s

A few weeks ago I wrote about the all-Environ routine that I’ve been following for the past six months. Whilst I am faithful to Environ for cleansing, toning and moisturising purposes, I still love alternating my masks and exfoliators. Here’s a run down of the ones I use most regularly: Added Extra: The Exuviance Vitamin C+Antiaging Booster is the newest addition to my skincare arsenal, and I am absolutely blown away by how effective it is. I’d never tried a Vitamin C powder formula before, so this was definitely a new experience for me – you simply sprinkle some of the powder into…

Currently Obsessed With: Revlon Colorstay 2-in-1 Compact

Revlon Colorstay 2-in-1 Compact Makeup | All Dolled Up

Revlon recently released their best selling Colorstay foundation in a compact form, and I am into it! Having never used the liquid version of Colorstay, I can’t draw any comparisons, but what I can tell you is that the compact version is a lovely foundation in its own right. I have traditionally steered clear of compact foundations for fear of them being too drying for my skin, however this offering from Revlon had me pleasantly surprised by just how creamy and moisturising it was. That being said, the finish isn’t dewy – it’s more of demi-matte, so if you want glow, you will…
