Kiehl’s Change Your Skin Challenge: Week 1

Last week I started using Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate on my face every night, as part of the 28-day Change Your Skin Challenge. Kiehl’s kindly gave both Camilla and me a full-size bottle of the overnight anti-ageing elixir (which, if used every night would last us three months at least) to test and report back on.

I already used KMRC as part of my night-time beauty routine but alternating it in a three-day cycle with Alpha-H Liquid Gold and a regular moisturiser. I had a suspicion that it was causing me to break out so I was somewhat hesitant to start using it every single night but, as of last week Monday, that is exactly what I have done.

It is marketed as something of a miracle product, leaving you with younger-looking skin by morning. I don’t believe in such things so my expectations were reasonable and I have been pleasantly surprised by its long-term moisturising properties. The dry patch on my chin has stopped flaking, and I haven’t been using Hydraluron (which I normally rely on to manage that area of my face) since I started the challenge. My skin is definitely soft and hydrated come morning, and, best of all, no breakouts!

Any skin product worth it’s salt will take some time to show serious results so I’m keen to see how my skin reacts over the remaining three weeks.
