Today we’ll be continuing our series documenting the skincare routines of other people (see the previous post here), in order to give you some ideas for how to deal with any skin concerns you might have that are similar. Natalie is a professional make-up artist who also works in social media, and has a fab lifestyle blog called Tails of a Mermaid. She is very knowledgeable about beauty and make-up, and has written a brilliant tutorial on the correct way to clean your make-up brushes. Here’s how she looks after her skin (which always looks amazing by the way):
“I have combination skin that can sometimes get either very oily or very dry, depending on the season. I used to struggle a lot with acne so I have a history with Acnetane too. I swim a lot at the gym (twice a week) so that also affects my skin.
I use and love QMS Medicosmetics. At the moment I’m using the cleanser, toner and 24H moisturiser as well as the Med Set: day protect collagen serum, night repair collagen serum and a dermabrasive gel exfolaitor.
These products are super rich in collagen and really make a difference in the texture of your skin from the first time you use them. The cleanser is a cream cleanser which I love and does a great job of removing make-up including eye make-up. I also love that I only need one moisturiser for use in the day and at night.
My favourite product from the range is the MED Dermabrasive Gel. I LOVE using exfoliating products, but I find that sometimes they can be too harsh. The gel is great because it gently removes layers of dead skin cells by dissolving them with fruit acids.
Another favourite is their Hydro Foam Mask which is pure facial bliss. The foam smells amazing and the little popping bubbles on your skin feels like tiny fairies massaging your face with their tiny fairy hands*. As soon as I’ve used the product I can see an improvement in the moisture and plumpness of my skin.
I have been using their Cellular Sun Block SPF 50+ but I find that it leaves my face white after application and it tastes really bad if you happen to get it on your lips. It does provide fantastic protection from the sun though, and it doesn’t leave my pores feeling pollyfilled.”
Do any of you use QMS Medicosmetics and have any thoughts on the products?
