Through ADU I discovered the joy of the Real Techniques foundation brush, the Body Shop Silky Cleansing Oil, Maybelline Colour Tattoo On & On bronze cream shadow and their great gel eye liner pots. Definitely getting a Smitten and the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer this year.

    Hello you guys
So lovely to have South-African Beauties to follow. Can you make any good recommendation for a concealer available in South-Africa that is good to cover up blemishes? I know everybody raves about NARS creamy concealer, but it is difficult to find a perfect match when you shop online. Also, where do you guys normally buy online and where did you buy IT cosmetics?

      Hi Melissa,

Thanks so much for your feedback – we’re so happy you enjoy the blog. Bourjois, Revlon, MAC, Bobbi Brown and Smashbox all do fantastic concealers – I would highly recommend any of those brands. I would also suggest getting a setting powder to lock the concealer in place – you might find this helpful: http://www.alldolledup.co.za/2013/03/crisis-management-how-to-cover-an-enormous-spot/.

IT Cosmetics is only available in the States unfortunately – I bought mine on Amazon (also available from Ulta) and had it shipped to a friend in the States who then brought it back for me. We regularly shop on ASOS and Feel Unique, but beware of customs charges!

        Hello Camilla

Thanks for the advice and feedback. I did get a Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer over the weekend and have been trying it out. It is fantastic. Good coverage, non-drying and non-flaking formula. Definitely it’s money’s worth.

Through All Dolled Up, I learnt about the Wet n Wild eyebrow powder set thingy. The set was a gift from the Jules as it was too dark for her. I now have boss eyebrows all the time.
    I can’t believe I was using a pencil before!?

I’ve also only been cleaning my make up off with the Ultrabland from Lush (also learnt from the gurls) which is just like an eraser cream vibe for your face. I’m very excited about this magical Smitten! As someone who wants to spend the least time doing make uppy things, this seems like a perfect match for me!

ADU is my favourite SA beauty blog and I hope you girls never ever stop blogging. A good chunk of my makeup and beauty product stash is thanks to your enabling! My next purchase is going to be that damn elusive On And On Bronze, it will be mine! x

Absolutely LOVE this blog, Jules and Camilla! Have used your recommendations for almost all my beauty buys over the last year and they’re always a hit! My favourites have been my Smitten, Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil and Environ Derm-a-Lac. Thanks for all the effort and a wonderful blog!
