Dior Diorskin Nude BB Creme
I have been using this product religiously over the past month and can officially confirm that it’s everything it’s cracked up to be. I love the coverage it gives – it goes on sheer and glowy, yet it still manages to cover mild blemishes and imperfections. I do have to conceal more noticeable spots with my trusty Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage Concealer, but I’m so well practiced that it only takes a matter of seconds (read: I have so many spots). As with other BB creams, the longevity isn’t the best, but I find that if I pop some primer on first it stays put for a good couple of hours.

Smashbox Photo Finish Color Correcting Foundation Primer
I wrote about this product earlier in the month so I won’t repeat myself unnecessarily, but I would like to reiterate that it really is fantastic. It helps reduce redness and it definitely makes foundation last longer.

Smashbox Brow Tech To Go
I used to be a MAC Lingering devotee, but since discovering this little beauty from Smashbox I don’t think I’ll ever go back. The colour match is spot on, the consistency is perfect, and it comes with an eyebrow gel built in! Genius.

Blistex Lip Medex Lip Protectant
An old school favourite – I rediscovered this in my boyfriend’s toiletry bag and was instantly transported back to high school.  I love the smell, the consistency and most of all, the way it makes my lips tingle when I apply it. It hydrates the lips really well and leaves them looking soft, plumped up and flake-free.

NARS Bronzing Powder in Laguna
This has been a lifesaver product for me this winter – it has helped to add some much needed colour, life and definition to my pale and pasty face. It has a gentle wash of shimmer shot through it which helps bring radiance back to the face – the shimmer is not offensive though, it really is very subtle. I prefer bronzers with a bit of shimmer in them because matte bronzers tend to make my complexion look a bit flat and ruddy. I use it mainly for contouring at the moment, but when summer rolls around I will be using this EVERY.WHERE.

Stila ‘In The Light’ Palette
I reviewed this earlier on in the week, and even though it’s a bit of a late entry for this month, it undoubtedly qualifies as a favourite. Ten neutral, warm-toned eyeshadows and a creamy brown eyeliner for R395 – you’re getting a lot of bang for your buck here. The colours are suitable for all skin tones, and the quality of the shadows is excellent. I can’t recommend this highly enough.

Nesti Dante Citron & Bergamot Scented Soap
Soap? Boring! Usually I would tend to agree but I have to make an exception for this one. You will have seen these Nesti Dante Soaps in Woolies – they are enormous (twice the size of normal soaps) and they smell absolutely delicious. What drew me in initially was the packaging – each soap comes individually wrapped in a sheet of thick, illustrated paper which makes it feel like more of a luxury product than just a bar of soap. This scent is clean and fresh, and the rich, foamy lather feels so soothing on the skin. I also use it to wash my makeup brushes and it does a sterling job. It retails for R60, but bear in mind that you’re getting 250g of product (I sound like a drug dealer) so it lasts for ages. Plus they smell so good – I can’t wait to try out some of the other flavours like Blooming Gardens, Meditteranean Touch and The Golden Countryside.
