I am often asked where I go for certain beauty treatments, so I thought it might be helpful to create a little directory for you. I have listed all of the places and people that I visit on a regular basis for the various treatments that are integral in keeping this show on the road! These are all Cape Town based, obviously, but if you’ve got recommendations for salons/therapists in other parts of SA that you’d like to share, then please let me know in the comments section below. Hair: Mooi Hair Salon “Who does your hair?” is the question…

Maybelline Master Strobing Stick Illuminating Highlighter in 200 Medium* Good highlighters are unfortunately rather difficult to find at the drugstore, let alone in a subtle, creamy formula that isn’t full of chunky glitter. Luckily for me, Maybelline sent us their version so I put it to the test in a First Impressions video earlier in the year and was thrilled with the result! I’ve been using it regularly ever since but for some reason I keep forgetting to put it in my monthly favourites. The shade 200 is spot on for me – it gives the cheekbones a slightly peachy…

This is a quick run-down of some of the products we’ve received over the past month or so. We haven’t tested them all properly yet, so full reviews will follow shortly. Urban Decay Full Spectrum Palette If you love colour, this is the palette for you. This limited edition Full Spectrum Palette from Urban Decay contains 21 shadows in a range of rainbow shades: My first thought when I looked at the colour selection was ‘oh god no‘ because everything looked so bright and, to my conservative eyes, unwearable. However, on closer inspection, there are some really beautiful, wearable shades in…
Chanel has just released their latest collection, Collection Libre, and it is stunning. Lucia Pica was inspired by cityscapes and urban materials – glass, metal, rubber – when creating this collection, with the aim being to offer up a contrasting palette of textures, colours and lights. Whereas the Le Rouge Collection No.1 (which I adore and use constantly) leaned very warm, I feel like this collection is perfect for those who prefer cooler tones. Collection Libre launched on 14 November 2016. These limited edition items tend to sell like hotcakes, so I’d get myself to a Chanel counter sharpish if you want to…
