Brace yourselves, London: Jules and I are hitting your shores next week, and we’re feeling spendy! It goes without saying that there is going to carnage in the beauty halls of Selfridges, SpaceNK, Boots, Westfield, Guru Makeup Emporium and PAM, amongst others. Here is a brief run-down of what’s on my list so far:

Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat Lip Liner in ‘Pillow Talk’

CT Total

I have wanted this for about two years, and the wait is finally over. This liner has achieved cult status amongst those whose opinions I trust, and I am looking forward to using it to create a significantly fuller pout!

Urban Decay Naked Skin Complete Coverage ConcealerUrban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion  and Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray

UD Total

I have tried numerous eyeshadow primers in my time, and I can hand-on-heart say that none come close to the shadow-clinging (that’s a word now) abilities of the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion. It amplifies the pigment, locks the shadows in place and keeps everything looking smooth and crease-free for hours and hours on end. I am also pleased to see that the tube has not been modified to include a doe-foot applicator, which is much more user friendly than the previous squeezy tube.

The All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray is legendary for its makeup-setting powers. This facial spray is designed to be used as the final step in your makeup routine: a few sprtizes and your complexion will be kept looking fresh all day long (or all night long, I guess, judging by the name).

The Naked Skin Concealer has been getting nothing but rave reviews since it launched. My friend Tori from Kiss, Blush & Tell bought it recently and when she confirmed that the hype is warranted, it sealed the deal for me. It’s happening.

H&M Beauty EyeshadowH&M Beauty Eyeliner and H&M Beauty Cream Blush

H&M Beauty

Another launch that’s been getting rave reviews is H&M Beauty. I have heard that the eyeshadows, eyeliners and cream blushers are the stars of the show. I will report back.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in ‘Mood Exposure’ and BY TERRY Ombre Blackstar in ‘Misty Rock’

SpaceNK

As with the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat, the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush and BY TERRY Ombre Blackstar are two products that I have been lusting after for months, if not years. The blush promises to impart a healthy, luminous flush to my cheeks, whilst the cream eyeshadow claims to have the most incredible staying power (sans primer…this is something to see in order to be believed). Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick 3D Volume Lip Shine in ‘Nudist’Sanctuary Spa Wonder Body and Origins Original Skin Retexturising Mask with Rose Clay

Boots

Jules and I are both massive fans of Origins face masks (the Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask and the Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask are two of our favourites), so when I saw this new release, I knew it was going to be a slam-dunk. It provides a gentle, deep clean, refines the skin’s texture, restores “glow” and also claims to minimise the appearance of pores.

Our much-loved Soap & Glory Gloss Stick has been re-packaged (but not reformulated, thankfully) into a smaller tube, and I plan on stocking up – this is the ultimate sheer, nude lip balm.

I first heard about Sanctuary Spa’s Wonder Body in Fleur DeForce’s ‘New in Beauty: October 2015’ video. It’s a tinted moisturiser for your body and is “infused with sheer pigments and blurring skin perfecting particles” which, when applied, instantly improve the look and feel of your skin. I think this is going to be great for the summer when I’ve got more skin on display, and I think it will look particularly gorgeous with a bit of a tan.

These are the products on my maybe” list:

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation and/or Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation and/or Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit.

Maybe

These are all pricey (at today’s exchange rate, Giorgio Armani comes in at R790.00, Charlotte Tilbury comes in at R640.00, and Hourglass at R1,400.00 *insert screaming emoji face here*), hence the “maybe” status. I highly doubt I will buy them, but I will certainly enjoy testing them at the counters.

Is there anything I’ve missed which you think I should buy? Enable me, dear readers!
