New in from TOY Nail Polish: TOY Textures

TOY Nail Polish is a Colombian brand which recently launched in South Africa. Jules reviewed some of their polishes a while ago and was very impressed by the formulations – you can read more here. Following on from their successful launch, we were lucky enough to be sent some polishes from the latest collections to try.

NEW: TOY Nail Polish

TOY Nail Polish South Africa | All Dolled Up

There are a few things that I look for in a good nail polish; gorgeous colours, even application and a long-lasting formula among them. As a proud (ok, slightly ashamed) owner of more than 60 bottles of nail polish for my personal use, I would also say that I am relatively expert on the subject. It was therefore with great interest that we received a selection of nail polishes from Colombian brand TOY (“Two Of You”) who have recently launched in SA, with four new shades to trial and the “Diamond Cocktail” topcoat. I’ve put them through their paces and…

Nail Polish Infatuation: Chanel Le Vernis in Taboo

Isn’t it exquisite? Now, I’m not usually a fan of dark nail colours (on myself) and I’m not generally a huge fan of Chanel nail polish (it chips if you don’t use industrial-strength base and top coats) but Taboo cast a little spell over me and I couldn’t stop myself from buying it. We know that Chanel sets the trend and other brands follow…

Revlon Nail Art Stencils

Revlon Nail Art Stencils

I came across these in Clicks a little while ago and I thought they were cute so I picked up the bow and moustache designs. Each little block is a self-adhesive stencil that sticks well to your nails and lets you quickly and neatly jazz up your manicure. I put them to the test using Essie Off the Shoulder as a base and Woolworths Metallic Champagne for the accent colour. My verdict: Fab and fun! Nail Revolution: Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

Seche Vite

We all know the feeling: sitting patiently, waiting for our nail polish to dry. And then, just when you think you’re ready to go, you touch something and it smudges. RAGE. But fear not, help is at hand…I give you Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. What is it? A fast-drying top coat specially formulated to penetrate through nail polish to the base coat, forming a single solid coating over the nail for a more durable finish. What does it promise? To cut drying time dramatically, and to leave nails resistant to chipping and peeling. Does it deliver? YES. I have been…
