The Friday Lust List

Friday Lust List

Elizabeth Hurley says that lust does wonders for the skin, so with that in mind, let’s have a look at what I’m lusting after this week…

Dior Diorskin Nude BB Creme

This latest offering from Dior has had the beauty world a-twitter for a while now. I first heard about it when I saw (my friend) Lisa Eldridge using it in one of her videos, but I must admit I didn’t rush out and buy it because I’m generally not a huge fan of BB creams. However, after watching that video I’ve read nothing but rave reviews on all of my regular beauty blogs and now I want it. Bad. The only thing holding me back is the fact that I currently have 13 foundations/tinted moisturisers in my collection (sorry I’m not sorry) and I can’t actually bring myself to buy it just yet. Soon, my pretties. Soon.

Shu Umera UV Under Base Mousse

My gorgeous friend Bailee, who is a model, sent me a message the other day proclaiming how wonderful this was, and that her makeup still looked as fresh as a daisy after a long day of filming under hot lights. This product, as the name suggests, is to be used underneath your foundation , just like a primer. It contains SPF 30 PA+++ (SPF protects your skin from UVB rays and PA protects from UVA rays) and has an incredibly light texture that leaves your skin looking smooth and flawless. What’s not to like?

MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Éclair

This little number was part of the Baking Beauties collection that recently hit our shores. The colour is described as a warm-toned, bronzy brown with copper and bronze shimmer. Heaven! My love for Paint Pots has been well documented – eye shadows that are creamy, pigmented, crease-free and long-lasting…MAC sure does know how to tick all the boxes. No wonder Temptalia gave this product full marks!

By Terry Baume de Rose

I’m blaming Tori from Kiss, Blush and Tell for this one! We share a deep love for By Terry products, and although I’ve always admired this from afar, I could never quite justify spending that amount of money on such a small amount of product. However, after my recent love affair with Givenchy Hydra Sparkling Magic Lip & Cheek Balm (also known as “The Only Product That Has Ever Managed To Keep My Lips Flake-Free”), I am slowly coming to terms with the fact that sometimes, splashing the cash pays off.

Alber Elbaz for Lancôme

Lancôme has collaborated with Lanvin designer Alber Elbaz on a nine-piece makeup collection. Pause for effect. While the famed wands and formulations of the Lancôme Show by Alber Elbaz mascaras—Définicils, Hypnôse Star, and Hypnôse Drama, respectively—remain unchanged, the Elbaz-illustrated tubes (with doodles of winks, stars, and rose petals) are a dream come true for a packaging junkie like me. Believe it or not, I’ve never tried a Lancome mascara – I think now is most definitely the time, don’t you?

So tell me, what have you been lusting after recently?
