It’s safe to say that most of the make-up looks that come out of fashion week are either totally over-the-top and unwearable or so subtle and sophisticated that they would only really work for the supermodels among us. But every now and then you see something totally gorgeous and inspiring, and that’s what happened when genius make-up artist Charlotte Tilbury posted these pics on her Instagram account of the look she created for Dsquared2 at Milan Fashion Week.
Inspired by 1950s Americana, Hawaiian summers and Elvis Presley, the look is total retro perfection. Skin was bronzed and glowing with arched, squared-off brows and tawny, glossy eyelids. A bit of flicked-out eyeliner, individual false lashes and bright orange lips completed the effect. I think this is a great look to try for the upcoming summer – add some tropical prints and a fruity cocktail and you’ll be looking real swell!
