This post is basically taking the place of a monthly favourites post because not only have I loved using these products this month, but they’re all products that I owned already but hadn’t been in rotation for a while. I’ve been enjoying quite a natural, tonal look – bronzy skin and brown eyeshadow, with a natural, flushed cheek and matching pink lips. Here are the makeup items I’ve been using to achieve it:

I’m trying to make a concerted effort to use up more of the products I have rather than constantly buying new things. I don’t always (hardly ever) succeed but it’s the thought that counts, right?! The problem with having too much make-up and a short attention span, is that lots of lovely products tend to get forgotten and start to gather dust in the shadow of the shiny and new. Anna from Vivianna Does Makeup inspires me more than any other blogger – that girl just has so many good ideas. After reading one of her recent posts about “shopping the stash”, ie rummaging through your makeup to find hidden treasures, I decided to do just that. I love trying new products as much as the next girl, but there is something deeply satisfying about rediscovering an old favourite too – particularly if, like me, you hoard so many bits and bobs that you frequently forget what you actually have.
