Shopping the Stash #5: A Full Face of Old Favourites

Shopping the Stash - A Full Face of Old Favourites

I haven’t bought much makeup lately. Mostly because I’m trying to be a responsible grown-up person with some financial restraint, but also because I just haven’t been in the mood. I’ve been much more focused on using what I have in my stash (which is considerable) so I thought it was time for another “Shopping the Stash” post. This time I’ll put together (almost) a whole face from old faves that I haven’t used in a while: Primer By far one of the drugstore’s most underrated brands is Max Factor. I don’t know what it is about it, but friends…

Products I've Hit Pan On | All Dolled Up

Sounds a bit random, right – who wants to see a pile of beat-up old makeup? Well, the idea of this post is to show you the powder products I actually use the most and offers some insight into some of my favourite makeup items that don’t always make it onto the blog:

My Favourite Blushes

My Favourite Blushes

I’ve always loved a bit of blush – it really is one of those makeup products that can completely transform the face. It’s one of the things that I will always include in my routine, no matter how basic my look is, because it brings the whole look together. Matte, neutral shades are a great way to start, because they add some subtle colour to…

The Wedding: Getting Ready

Today I thought I would share some photos from the getting ready process on the big day. The wedding ceremony was at 6pm so I had the whole day to spend with my girlfriends and took plenty of time doing hair and make-up. I hated the idea of being isolated from everyone during the build-up so I invited all the girls to pop in and visit me and the bridesmaids, which was quite successful at helping to keep the nerves at bay. We had such a lovely, relaxed afternoon with Misha AKA Brandslut doing a magnificent job on everyone’s hair…

Jules’ Wedding Make-Up Trial

Jules is getting married in less than a month, and given that I (a brideslave) have been given the honour of doing her make-up on the big day, we thought we better get cracking and do a few test runs. As she is getting married in Greece, I need to make sure that the products I use are going to hold up in the heat – I don’t want her face to be slipping down her dress half-way through the ceremony! I have chosen a variety of primers and products with long-wearing formulations to ensure that she stays looking fresh…
