Greek beauty brands really are some of the best in the world. There is an astonishing array of natural and organic ranges, many of which use amazing local ingredients like honey, yoghurt, chamomile and pomegranate to treat various skin and hair concerns. Two of the most well-known pharmacy brands are Korres (now available at selected Edgars) and Apivita, which specialises in using bee products and Greek herbs to create effective skincare and cosmetics. Korres Haul

One of the highlights for any beauty buff visiting Greece is getting your hands on some treats from Korres, an amazing, natural skin, hair and make-up brand. Born out of Greece’s first homeopathic pharmacy, all the formulations are developed based on natural ingredients like aloe, calendula and Evening Primrose (it’s actually quite fascinating – read this). I was very excited to spot a small stand-alone store in Athens airport while waiting for a flight so I attacked it with my credit card and here’s what I bought:

Aaaaand we’re back! After three glorious weeks of sun, sea and of course, a wedding, we’ve found ourselves back in a very cold and gloomy Cape Town. Last year I went on holiday to Greece with my family, and one of the hotels we stayed at stocked Korres products as the complimentary bathroom goodies. I knew a bit about this Greek pharmacy brand from my London days, but for some reason I never got around to trying them. Well, what I fool I was!
