The Best Skincare for Oily Skin

The Best Skincare for Oily Skin | All Dolled Up

Although it’s much more under control now, I’ve had some version of oily/combination skin for as long as I can remember. Learning how to properly hydrate my face has made the biggest difference but I definitely still battle a shiny T-zone on a daily basis, especially in summer. The following list of skincare products are the ones that I have found best to help control and manage oily skin* and its effects. First, a quick overview of the skincare strategy for oily skin: In the words of skincare expert Tata Harper: “In an ideal world, our skin maintains a healthy…

Autumn Beauty Update

Autumn Beauty Update | All Dolled Up

With the arrival of Easter Weekend came the much cooler weather in Cape Town, much to my disappointment. I’m a summer girl through and through but as much as I despise autumn and winter, it does give me the opportunity to introduce some new products into my beauty routine. Here are the items that will be getting some more use over the next few months: Skin My face is already starting to show signs of worse-than-usual dehydration so I’m upping my skincare game to include more hyaluronic acid, glycerin and other humectants, as well as hydrating oils. My Backup Beauty Bag

My Weekend Beauty Bag | All Dolled Up

Between regular weekends away, trips to the gym and the odd holiday, I find myself packing, unpacking and re-packing my toiletry bag all too regularly. Tedious tasks like these really push my buttons to I decided to create a dedicated beauty kit that I could literally throw in my bag and go. The kit contains miniature hair goodies, travel-friendly skincare, some shower essentials and…

So here is my version, highlighting five products from my USA Beauty Haul: Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Treatment Concealer This was one of the products I had been most excited to try…

July Favourites: Jules

July Favourites 2015 | All Dolled Up

Revlon Powder Blush in “Naughty Nude” I’m fairly addicted to blush so when I saw this one being mentioned a few times on YouTube, it was inevitable that it would find its way into my makeup collection. The shade is a light rosy brown with a subtle golden sheen, so it’s the ideal nude blush and perfect for winter because it’s not too bright. The formula isn’t the best; it’s a little bit chalky and the shimmer tends to emphasize skin texture, but I love the colour so much that I can work with these shortcomings. I think it would…
