Skin Creamery Oil Milk Cleanser & Skin Creamery Skin Tonic

img_7365

I’ve lost count of the number of times Jules and I have professed our love for Skin Creamery – this local brand just gets it so right.  The latest releases include an oil-milk facial cleanser and a skin tonic, both of which look and smell divine. All product info has been taken from the Skin Creamery website:

What do they do?

The Sesame Oil, Baobab and Melon Seed Oil Milk Facial Cleanser glides onto the skin, gently nourishing as it lifts make-up and impurities. It can safely be used around the eye area, conditioning lashes and brows in the process. Though gentle, this silky oil formulation can remove even waterproof products with ease. Treat your skin to a unique blend of omega-rich, certified organic oils of Kalahari Melon Seed, Jojoba and Baobab. When rinsed off with warm water, these oils emulsify, dissolving all impurities into a creamy milk.

The Baobab, Malachite and Rose Skin Tonic is a two-phase skin tonic formulated to hydrate, restore and nurture. The water phase contains Malachite, a mineral-rich crystal extract with powerful antioxidant and skin protecting properties. Baobab fruit powder, which is high in vitamin C, is infused into organic rose water to create a vitamin-rich floral splash. Rose water gently balances the skin’s PH and adds a touch of toning magic. The omega-rich oil layer gently hydrates and conditions the skin. This oil layer mixes effortlessly with the water phase to form a rejuvenating tonic for damaged or tired skin.

Lancôme L’Absolu Rouge Lipsticks

img_7366
Lisa Eldridge, the Official Global Creative Makeup Director of Lancôme, has created 25 new lipstick shades in a variety of textures. The shade range comprises of nudes, reds, raspberries, oranges and pinks, with a choice between a cream or a matte finish. There is something for everyone in this new L’Absolu Rouge collection!

What does it do?

Needs no explanation, really. These lipsticks are housed in a black lacquered metal casing with a gold top and bottom – the packaging is weighty, chic and feels completely luxurious. If you click the Lancôme rose emblem on the top of the tube, and it releases the lipstick and you’re a-for-away. We were sent shades 343 Suspense (nude shade with a cream finish), 368 Rose Lancôme (pinky red shade with a cream finish) and 198 Rouge Flamboyant (a classic red with a matte finish).

How much do they cost?

R399 each

Are they available yet?

Not yet, I’m afraid. Launching in November 2016.

invisibobble POWER and invisibobble NANO

img_7368
Jules and I have been using invisibobbles since they launched a few years ago, and we refuse to use anything else – they have been a complete game changer. Their smooth surface means that the hair doesn’t get tangled/snagged, and their unique design leaves no imprints on the hair once they’re removed – so if you’ve had your hair in a top-knot all day, you won’t be left with any unsightly hair tie kinks if you use an invisibobble. Invisibobble have just released two new products: the POWER and the NANO.

What do they do?

The invisibobble POWER is aimed at those with thicker, more voluminous hair. The intensified spiral shape gives the hair an extra strong grip during sports events, without compromising on comfort. And because the resin used to create invisibobbles is water and sweat proof, the POWER can be easily removed from wet/sweaty hair without tangling.

The invisibobble NANO has been designed to be used as a styling tool, so think of it more as a bobby pin than a traditional hair tie. It provides a firm grip in the hair, and helps creates a stable base on which to build your desired up-do/braid/bun.

How much do they cost?

invisibobble POWER: R100 for a set of 3
invisibobble NANO: R80 for a set of 3
