Lush Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner

Sounds weird, right? Well, it is a bit weird but only because there isn’t anything else like it currently on the market (although Nivea are launching a very similar version soon). It’s basically a thick, deliciously rose-scented cream that you rub over your wet skin in the bath or shower, and then rinse off, leaving behind a very moisturising residue that keeps your skin soft and supple all day long. The reason I love it so much is because it means I don’t have to rub lotion all over myself when I get out of the shower, saving me time, fuss and frostbite. Packed full of ingredients to feed and nourish the skin like argan oil, cocoa butter, brazil nut oil, almond oil and fair trade shea butter, this is a very special winter treat. Find out more »

MAC Patina eyeshadow

I recently added this shade to my MAC eyeshadow collection and have been wearing it almost daily ever since. Described as “taupe brown with a golden pearl”, it’s a very wearable daytime colour (particular favoured by brides actually) that adds subtle definition to the eye. I think it’s especially flattering on blondes and while it doesn’t look like much in the pan, it’s extremely versatile, taking on slightly different tones on different skin colours. A great basic colour for any eyeshadow lover. Find out more »

Topshop Cream Blush in Head Over Heels

This soft, coral-toned cream blush is the perfect daytime shade for adding a little flush of colour to your cheeks. The formula is very creamy and turns to powder on application but without looking chalky. As with most cream blushers, it’s not the most long-wearing cheek colour in the world but I love the shade and the radiant, luminous glow that it gives your face. There are two other shades in the range – Afternoon Tea (bright fuschia) and Flush (rosy pink) and the best bit is, they’re only R89! Find out more »

Essence Express Dry Drops

Most of you will know the paralysing frustration of waiting for your nails to dry, only to smudge them at the very last minute when you’ve just run out of patience. Camilla’s solution to this problem is Seche Vite, an amazing quick-dry top coat with a cult following. I find that it goes gloopy very quickly and at over R100 a bottle I personally can’t see the value so I decided to try these instant dry drops from Essence which are around R30. Well, they’re AMAZING! My nails are dry within 30 seconds – like, 100% tack-free. This truly is a wonder product and it’s earned itself the top spot in my list of manicure essentials. Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua

I have fallen back in love with this product this month, after much neglect in favour of newer, shinier foundations in my collection. It’s ultra-fine fluid texture goes on smoothly and has a completely weightless feel while giving good, medium coverage and perfecting the complexion. The finish is glowy without being shiny and it is totally invisible, so much so that I doubt anyone could tell that you’re wearing make-up. It is undoubtedly one of the best foundations on the market – pricey for sure, but worth every penny. Find out more »
