Environ Ionzyme C-Quence Eye Gel

I recently finished my Environ Firming Eye Gel, and whilst I liked it, it didn’t particularly blow me away, so I decided to give the C-Quence version a try. It contains a cocktail of vitamins, anti-oxidants and peptides to improve the appearance of fine lines (that’d be me, then), and to provide a daily defence against aging by keeping the under-eye area hydrated and cared for.

I have been using it every morning and I officially cannot be without it now. It sinks in quickly, but still leaves the skin feeling hydrated and silky all day long. It doesn’t leave any residue behind, so there’s no danger of makeup pilling/flaking when you apply it on top, and because it keeps the area moisturised, I find that my concealer is creasing less.

Exuviance Bionic Oxygen Facial

I read about this product a little while ago when a Dermastore newsletter popped into my inbox. It promised to restore a youthful, luminous complexion with its hydrating blend of sophisticated ingredients…might as well be a bullseye! Needless to say, I ordered it immediately (and received it the next morning – Dermastore know how to do customer service right).

It contains a patented blend of exfoliants and triple oxygenating molecules to help invigorate and energise the skin. The best part: it foams (the only other foaming mask I have ever tried was the Caolion Blackhead 02 Bubble Pore Pack, which I loved). You massage a generous layer onto damp skin and leave it on for about 5 minutes, during which time the oxygenating froth will develop and then disappear into the skin. You then rinse away the excess with some warm water, and you’re done. It feels quite fizzy on the skin – like you can really feel it working – which is a sensation that I enjoy. I didn’t notice any redness or sensitivity after I’d used it, so I’d say it’s suitable for all skin types.

The result: GLOW. The next day I woke up and was astounded by how radiant my skin looked. Being a beauty blogger means I spend a lot of time examining my skin in order to see if my products are working or not, and it’s quite rare to get such an instantaneous reaction. My makeup applied beautifully and several of my colleagues even commented on how good my skin looked. This is definitely going to be a mask that I’ll be reaching for on a weekly basis!

Lamelle Correctives Hydrating HA Serum

You know the drill with hyaluronic acid by now: it secures moisture and creates fullness by maintaining a ‘reservoir of water’ in the top layers of the skin. Keeping these water levels topped up is essential for the maintenance of an effective barrier function, and keeps the skin looking plump and youthful.

What differentiates this serum from its competitors is that it is the first of its kind to make use of intermediate size hyaluronic acid fragments. These fragments are smaller than your traditional hyaluronic acid molecules and so are able to penetrate the skin and work at the deeper dermal layer to stimulate collagen production. These fragments also attract water into the skin and keep it in place, enhancing normal skin shedding and reducing skin tightness and sensitivity.

I have been using it for a couple of weeks now, and I like it a lot. I use it in the mornings and I find that it keeps my skin feeling supple and hydrated throughout the day. Obviously winter/office air-conditioning/heaters wreak havoc on the skin, so I’ve still had some issues, but this product has definitely helped to alleviate them.
