Favourite Five: Overnight Hydrating Masks

I’m jetting off to London tonight and while I was packing my in-flight skincare kit, it got me thinking about all my favourite overnight hydrating masks. It’s the one product that I won’t go on a long-haul flight without so I’ve tried quite a few. Here’s my pick of the top five locally available moisturising masks, and although they aren’t all billed as for use overnight specifically, you could safely leave them on until morning for an extra boost of hydration:

Overnight Hydrating Masks | All Dolled Up

Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask (R395 for 100ml) – A creamy, oil-free night mask that helps skin replenish lost moisture, soothing and nourishing so you awake with soft, dewy, glowing skin. Clinique’s entire Moisture Surge line is a boon for dry skin.

Décleor Hydra Floral Moisturising Mask (R385 for 50ml) – Suitable for all skin types, it’s packed with comforting neroli oil and leaves skin soothed, quenched and protected against environmental pollutants. Intensely moisturises the skin, helps to combat cutaneous dehydration and instantly plumps up and visibly smooths fine dehydration lines.

Clarins HydraQuench Cream Mask (R395 for 75ml) – Described as an “oasis of comfort for dry, devitalised skin” (don’t you just love that image?!), this creamy mask quickly restores moisture balance even in the most dehydrated skin. Packed with hydration hero ingredient hyaluronic acid, it smoothes fine lines leaving skin soft, fresh and comfortable.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Sink In Moisture Mask (R130 for 100ml) – Definitely the bargain of the bunch, the effective blend of glycerin, silicone, plant oils, and skin-identical ingredients perfectly soothes dry skin. Antioxidant vitamin E protects the skin against free radicals and the light, gel-cream texture instantly relieves the uncomfortable feeling of dry, tight skin.

Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Masque (R530 for 75ml) – A refreshing, moisturising masque to remedy dry, stressed skin. Hyaluronic Acid traps moisture while helping to restore skin’s protective barrier. Formulated without artificial fragrances and colours.
