The Repeat Purchases

The Repeats

Hello. My name is Camilla and I’m unfaithful. There, I said it. When it comes to cosmetics, there very few products that I will purchase more than once – mainly because there is just so much good stuff out there that I still need to try. However, there are a select few that I continue to come back to, time and time again.

L’Oreal Volume Million Lashes

Of course I still adore my Clinique High Impact Extreme Volume and Maybelline Great Lash, but there is a special place in my heart for L’Oreal Volume Million Lashes. I first bought this in London a few years ago and I think I am on my seventh, or eighth, tube now. The brush is lovely and chunky, and you can really wriggle it down into the roots of the lashes for maximum definition. It doesn’t flake, transfer or smudge, and is a breeze to remove.

Essie Protein Base Coat

Best base coat ever. This genuinely helped improve the condition of my nails – it doesn’t just protect them from polish stains, but it strengthens and nourishes them unlike any other base coat I’ve ever used.

Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner

A make-up staple as far as I’m concerned. A wonderful, practical product that really delivers – it stays put for hours, even on the waterline! The formulation is lovely and creamy, and glides onto the lids like a dream. I am onto my sixth pot of this stuff now – it’s a real gem.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Gel Serum Foundation

I have expressed my love for this product multiple times already, so I won’t bang on about it again. I continue to reach for this morning after morning – it’s a keeper.

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Lipstick in Boy

The ultimate “my lips but better” shade. I was introduced to this by the lovely Miss Emma Jackson, and I’m onto my third tube now. The texture is lovely and creamy and it leaves my lips looking beautifully soft and plumped up. The colour is a soft dusty pink with a very subtle shimmer shot through it – in other words, the perfect colour. It has more of a balm-like consistency, so it isn’t very long-lasting, but it’s no hardship to reapply this gorgeous lippie throughout the day – am I right?

MAC Eyebrow Pencil in Lingering

This is some good stuff right here, ladies. The consistency is spot on – stays put all day and leaves you with a very natural looking brow. If you’re not already using it, I highly recommend that you get on it.

Clinique Chubby Stick in Heaping Hazelnut

I am onto my fifth tube now – I go through it at a rate of knots. A great everyday shade – a lovely soft beige-brown. It’s incredibly moisturising and hydrating,  so it’s perfect for the winter months. It also looks fabulous in summer when you’ve got a bit of a tan – everyone will want to kiss you when you’re wearing this.

Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

You need to own this. End of story. You can read my review on it here.

Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara

Game-changer. This stuff doesn’t smudge, flake or transfer at all – it just leaves your lashes looking beautifully long and perfectly separated. The brush is so teeny tiny that it grasps even the smallest of hairs, leaving you with eyes that pop (I hate that expression, but it’s the only one that will do in this instance – forgive me).  Previously reviewed here.
